Rugby Collective (rugbycollective.co.nz)
These Terms of Trade outline the conditions under which Rugby Collective (“we”, “us”, or “our”) purchases goods from individuals or businesses (“you”, “seller”).
By offering items for sale to Rugby Collective, you agree to the following terms.
1. Overview
Rugby Collective purchases vintage and modern sporting apparel and related items, including but not limited to rugby, league, cricket, football, and basketball jerseys.
All purchases are made at our discretion and subject to inspection, authenticity, and condition.
2. Seller Representations
By selling to Rugby Collective, you confirm that:
You are the legal owner of the item(s)
You have full authority to sell the item(s)
The item(s) are genuine and not counterfeit
The item(s) are not stolen or unlawfully obtained
All information provided to us is accurate and complete
We reserve the right to request proof of ownership or additional information where required.
3. Pricing & Offers
All offers made by Rugby Collective are based on the information provided at the time (including photos, description, and condition).
Offers may be revised if the item differs from what was initially represented.
Pricing reflects current market demand, condition, rarity, and resale potential.
All offers are valid for a limited time (24 hours) unless otherwise agreed.
4. Inspection & Condition
All items are subject to inspection upon receipt.
If an item:
Differs significantly from its description
Is damaged beyond what was disclosed
Is not authentic
We reserve the right to:
Revise the offer
Decline the purchase
Return the item at the seller’s cost (unless otherwise agreed)
5. Payment Terms
Payment will be made once the item has been received, inspected, and approved unless otherwise agreed.
Payments are typically processed via bank transfer unless otherwise agreed.
Timeframes for payment may vary but are generally completed within 1–3 business days after approval.
6. Shipping & Delivery
Sellers are responsible for ensuring items are securely packaged and shipped.
Shipping costs are agreed prior to dispatch.
Risk remains with the seller until the item is received by Rugby Collective, unless otherwise agreed.
We recommend tracked and insured shipping where possible.
7. Ownership & Risk
Where payment is made in advance, ownership of the item transfers to Rugby Collective upon full payment.
Risk, however, remains with the seller until the item has been safely delivered to and accepted by Rugby Collective.
The seller is responsible for ensuring the item is securely packaged and shipped, and we recommend using tracked and insured delivery services.
8. Rejected Items
If an item is not accepted:
We will notify you promptly
The item may be returned to you at your cost
If return shipping is not arranged within a reasonable timeframe, we reserve the right to dispose of the item
9. Fraud & Misrepresentation
Rugby Collective takes fraud seriously.
If an item is found to be:
Counterfeit
Stolen
Misrepresented
We reserve the right to:
Refuse payment
Retain the item
Report the matter to relevant authorities
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by New Zealand law:
Rugby Collective is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss
Our liability is limited to the agreed purchase price of the item
11. Privacy
Any personal information provided during the transaction will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Trade from time to time. The latest version will always be available on our website.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
